1. Pick the property first
Lock the address before choosing a time. It prevents double-booking confusion and keeps the form scannable on a phone. A spotlight card or listing page should drop the buyer on Book with the sample home already selected.
- Select a sample home from the dropdown
- Or tap a spotlight card to prefill the property
- Confirm showing type: in-person, private, or virtual
2. Choose a date agents can honor
Default the date picker to tomorrow and block past dates. Agents rarely need same-hour booking from a cold website visitor. A weekday evening and a Saturday slot cover most tours.
3. Offer time as chips, not a long list
Slot buttons beat dense dropdowns. Eight options covering morning through evening is enough for a demo or a small team calendar. Keep each chip at least 44 pixels tall so thumbs can hit them.
4. Capture contact once
Name, phone and email are enough for a showing request. Optional notes catch gate codes, dogs, or a steep lane. Do not add a second form after they already typed those fields on the listing page.
5. Confirm on the page
Show a clear success state. In production you would sync to a CRM or calendar — this concept only confirms on-page so nothing fake gets emailed. Staff then advance the Booking from Requested to Confirmed.
